About Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing Details
BSc Nursing (Post Basic) is a two-year duration undergraduate course in nursing. Nurses are healthcare professionals who often work in hospitals or outpatient facilities to provide hands-on care to patients by monitoring their medical condition, administering medications, maintaining records and communicating with doctors.
Eligibility Requirments for Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Course Eligibility :
In order to be eligible for Bsc nursing course, students have to pass Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) after passing a 12th or equivalent examination. In addition, a candidate must be registered nurse and registered midwifery with any state nursing council.
Admission Procedure for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing:
• Various institutions have their own criteria of admission.
• Admission shall be given on the merit basis of past academic marks.
• Student’s performance in 10+2 and GNM course will be monitored for granting admission.
• Few colleges also conduct their own entrance test for providing admission. For example – AIIMS regulates its own entrance test followed by personal interview and personal assessment.
