About Sri Ramachandra College of Nursing 

• Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute was founded in 1985 by the Founder Chancellor, Shri Ramaswamy Udayar
• Attained Deemed University status in 1994
• Became Sri Ramachandra University in 2006
• In 2018, Sri Ramachandra was recognized as Category-1 university by UGC
• In 2020, SRIHER was recognized as the 28th ranked national university by NIRF
• Attained the top category of A++ from NAAC in 2021 during its 3rd Cycler evaluation
• India Today survey recognized SRIHER as the best private Health Sciences University in the country
• The Medical Council of India (MCI) has recognized SRIHER as a Nodal Centre for medical education technology courses
• The World Health Organization has designated the SRMC as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Occupational Health
• Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) has accredited the Biodosimetry lab for assessment of personnel radiation exposure & related studies
• ICMR has recognized SRIHER Public Health as ICMR Centre for Advanced Research on Air Quality, Climate and Health
• Sri Ramachandra Engineering and Technology was established in 2019 as the 14th Faculty of SRIHER
• Dr. R. Vijarghavan is the Current Vice Chancellor of the University
• Shri. V. R. Venkatachalam, Chancellor and Shri. R.V. Senguttivan, Pro Chancellor lead the university with more than 7000 students
