B.A. Hons. Sociology or Bachelor of Arts Honours in Sociology is an undergraduate Sociology course. Sociology is the study of society. It is a social science, a term with which it is sometimes synonymous, which uses various methods of empirical investigation and critical analysis to develop and refine a body of knowledge about human social activity. B.A. is generally three academic year degree course and it may be provided on a part-time basis by certain institutes. The syllabus is divided into three parts and eight papers. The B.A. (Hons.) Sociology course is offered by almost every college and university in the country because of its value and importance. After having the degree course completed candidates have a lot of career opportunities in many human welfare-related fields.
Bachelor of Arts Honours in Sociology Eligibility
- Aspiring candidates should have completed their 10+2 or its equivalent exam in the Arts stream from a recognized school board.
- Selection is based on marks secured in the Senior Secondary High School Examination of the CBSE or an equivalent Board. In various colleges, it conducts entrance exams plus interview for admission.
