About Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (NDUAT)

Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technology (NDUAT) was established in 1975 as the 3rd Agricultural University of the state. The foundation stone of Narendra Dev University of Agriculture & Technology was was laid by the then Prime Minister of India late Smt. Indira Gandhi on January 15, 1974 led by at Mashodha near Faizabad city. In 1975 the government of U.P. decided to locate the main campus of the University at kumarganj, Faizabad instead of Mashodha. NDUAT campus is spread over an area of 16,000 hectares. It is named after a great national leader, educationist, philosopher and great socialist, Achraya Narendra Deva. NDUAT Faizabad offers several programs undergraduate, postgraduate and research in the areas of Veterinary Science, Agriculture, Home Science, Agriculture Engineering, Biotechnology, Horticulture, Fisheries and Forestry. Performance in the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (SEE-UPTU) ensures a candidate's admission. The University is recognised by UGC and a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
