Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacy Course Details
Ph.D. Pharmacy or Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacy is a Doctorate Pharmacy course. Pharmacy is a profession that links the health sciences with the chemical sciences and it is charged with ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs. The course undertakes the research work in depth and details. After completing the research work the candidates must submit the ‘thesis’ (a collection of documents) to the respective department. Pharmacy is a health profession that relates the health sciences with the chemical sciences and it is charged with ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs. The duration of the research degree course is three years and it may be more or less as per the institute’s rules and regulations. Ph.D. (Pharmacy) is a higher doctorate degree course and it opens many career scopes after its completion
Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacy Eligibility
- A master’s degree is required to gain admission to a doctoral program. In some subjects, doing a master’s in philosophy (M.Phil.) is a prerequisite to start Ph.D.
- Candidates with masters or equivalent degree in any of the branches of science in a relevant discipline of Pharmacy or equivalent with at least 60% aggregate and who are qualified to receive Junior Research Fellowship after passing CSIR/UGC NET, DBT JRF Examination (a category) are eligible to be interviewed.
