M.Sc. Psychiatric Nursing or Master of Science in Psychiatric Nursing is a postgraduate Nursing course. Psychiatric Nursing or Mental Health nursing is the specialty of nursing that cares for people of all ages with mental illness or mental distress such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, depression or dementia. The focus of the program is on clinical practice in an area of mental health service provision. The program provides opportunities to study issues and topics of interest such as dual diagnosis, psycho-social and psycho-educational interventions, mental health care for older people, illness management and recovery and mental health in primary care.
