About Course
Master of Arts in Archaeology (M.A. (Archaeology) Course Details
M.A. Archaeology or Master of Arts in Archaeology is a postgraduate Archaeology course. Archaeology is the study of human history and prehistory through the excavation of sites and the analysis of artefacts. The program provides appropriate education and training in the recovery, analysis, and interpretation of archaeological materials and context while simultaneously assuring that sufficient background is obtained in one or more traditional cognate fields such as classics, art history, anthropology, and history. It is a career that is very much in demand since archaeologists should spend infinite hours and days camping and undertaking fieldwork at laboratories and in excavation sites. An archaeologist, therefore, must have the patience to work on a project that may take months and even years to complete.
