While the highest salary package offered to students of old IIMs usually crosses Rs 70-80 lakh, the new IIMs are also gradually witnessing a rise in salary packages in the placement season. "This year, we saw a whopping 76% increase in the package at IIM Bodh Gaya. The highest package at the in stitute received this year is Rs 30.5 lakh," says Vinita Sahay, director, IIM Bodh Gaya. Unlike the older IIMS, our IIM of fers a rolling placement procedure where firms come in every 3-4 months." At IIM Udaipur along with the two-year MBA flagship programme, the institute also offers a one-year MBA programme. The one-year MBA can be pursued in two specialisations - Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) and Digital Enterprise Management (DEM). "As per the unaudited data, the highest package in the two-year MBA went up to Rs 35 lakh. For the one-year GSCM, it was Rs 35.96 lakh while for DEM it was Rs 32.21 lakh. As compared to the previous year, the two-year MBA programme has seen an increase of 31% in the average salary package of students. The GSCM has seen an increase of 2.6% and the average salary for DEM has increased by 7%," says Janat Shah, director, IIM Udaipur. Highlighting the in stitute's efforts to rope in the corporates for placements, he adds that the institute has always focused on creating well qualified professionals. "For strong tie-ups with corporates, we have created an advisory board and tweaked our courses," he adds. At IIM Rohtak, the ghest salary package was Rs 32 lakh this year while the average salary was Rs 15.92 lakh. As compared to the previous year, there was an increase of 16% in the average salary of the students.
