About Bachelor of Science in physics (BSc Physics)  Course

Bachelor of Science in physics (BSc) is a three-year undergraduate course. BSc physics comprising of experimental and theoretical subjects. BSc physics course is divided into 6 semesters, and each and every semester Includes theory, lab, and practical examination. To pursue BSc Physics admission, one should pass out intermediate level with PCM or PCBM as compulsory subjects.

B.sc physics admission is merit-based or entrance based but some colleges/universities conduct entrance exams for admission in BSc Physics.

BSc Physics Admission Process-

The admission process in BSc physics is merit-based in most colleges. The students get admission based on scores in central/ board examinations. At the same time, some colleges/universities conduct entrance exams for admission like Christ University, Delhi University, (DU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and a few more universities also conduct their own entrances exam for admission to BSc physics courses.

Entrance Exam for BSc physics-

Some Universities /Collages conduct entrance exams to get admission in B.Sc. physics some exams are as follows-

  •  BHU UET- The Bananas Hindu University conducts an entrance exam for admission in B.sc physics courses.
  • GSAT exam – This exam is conducted by the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management University and is a one-hour offline exam to get admission to a Bachelor of Science in physics.
  • AMU- It is an undergraduate entrance exam for admission in various UG courses is conducted by Aligarh Muslim University.
  • DU- It is an undergraduate/postgraduate entrance exam for admission in various UG courses conducted by Delhi university
  • JEE Exam- JEE exam is the selection criteria for getting admission in the B.SC course in IIT and IISc.
  • IISER Exam- Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) conducts an entrance exam to provide admission to Students.

Scope in BSc Physics?

After completing BSc Course in Physics, there are many career Options/opportunities open for A student who has completed BSc Physics, such as, teacher, research analyst, physicists lab assistant, etc. But, if one wants to Study further such as MSc degree, MSc Ph.D. dual degree, Joint MSc Ph.D. courses then you can also become a scientist.

Why You Should Choose B.Sc Physics?

The answer to This question it can be made simpler to understand “why you should choose B.Sc Physic?”  Lets Break this Question into the following three Parts :

We will have to understand That “What is B.Sc Physics All About?”

Bachelor of Science in physics (BSc) is a three-year undergraduate course. BSc physics comprising of experimental and theoretical subjects.

BSc Physics focuses on physics, which develops problem-solving skills, intellectual thinking, and logical thinking skills. Physics generates fundamental knowledge that will be required for future technological advances.

BSc physics course is divided into six semesters, and each semester comprises theory, lab, and practical examination. And B.Sc Physics syllabus Covers modern concepts such as quantum mechanics and relativity. electrodynamics, Classical mechanics, electricity, magnetism, optics, and waves are all scientific disciplines. Statistical mechanics and thermodynamics are the subjects Which are covered In BSc Physics. This program provides a solid foundation in both classical and modern physics to the students.

After completing B.Sc physics there is a great amount of job scope or opportunity in various fields. One can train meteorologists who study weather patterns using computerized and mathematical models or pursue careers in space exploration and telecommunications. one can also find work in colleges, universities, power generation companies,  pyrotechnics manufacturers, hospitals, and government research organizations as well.

Now the 2nd Breakdown of the Question is What Does a B.Sc Physics Professional Do?

Physics is used in various fields and realms. It has applications in various fields, such as hospitals, power plants, the military, museums, oil fields, law firms, the government, and  Many industries & businesses.

Now, let's have a look at standard functions:

Research and Development: A physicist is a professional who investigates and studies the interactions of energy and matter. In science, physicists frequently conduct,  arrive at solutions or theories, and investigate.

Explores scientific theories: A Physicist also Explores scientific theories, physicist is fascinated by natural world properties for example atom formations and gravity, and develops scientific theories and models to help them understand and explain them. A Physicist could also investigate the evolution of the universe as well as the fundamental properties of molecules and atoms.

Observing: A physicist they are also Work for Observing the behavior and properties of matter and the transformation and spread of energy. Also Observing the behavior and properties of matter, and the transformation and spread of energy Etc...

Now, this is the most important which is Reasons Why Physics Can Fetch You a Rewarding Career?

The first point is Demand:

Demand: After Studying Bsc Physics opens doors to some of the most exciting, cutting-edge, rewarding jobs and high-salary jobs in India as well as all over the world. Well, there are many specializations Whether you want to study space, matter, time, or any of the many other fascinating aspects of the physical world, a physics degree can help you get there.

Jobs can be found in various industries After Completing Bsc Physics such as in the educational sector, the automotive and aerospace industries, defense, the healthcare sectors, energy, materials, technology, computing, and information technology.

The second point is about Salary and Job Growth in BSc physics

Decent Salary and Job Growth: If we talk about a Physicist salary and Job Growth Overall employment of physicists and astronomers is expected or about to grow by 7% between 2019 and 2029, faster than the national average.

Salary of physics professional

Salary of a physics professional- The average salary for a physics professionals is also on the higher side The average salary for a Physicist in India is ₹750000 as per payscale.com.

Courses After BSc Physics?

After completing a BSc course in physics, many students decide to continue their further studies as it increases the chances of getting better jobs, and students can do master's in a specific subject of physics or go for different degrees. Students can decide to do an MSc for advanced knowledge on the subject and later on pursue Ph.D. programs to become a professor of Physics.

Jobs Options after BSc Physics?

Those Students who have graduated in BSc physics can get jobs in both private and Government sectors. For example, the graduates can get government jobs in the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Centre for Good Governance (CGG), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), and Centre for Good Governance (CGG) Etc...

Jobs after the BSc Physics course-

After completing BSc physics one can work as a :
