About Shiva Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET), Bilaspur

Shiva group was started in the year 2007, commencing with Shiva College of Education under the aegis of Shiva Educational Society at Ghumarwin Distt. Bilaspur (HP). This was the first College of Education in Distt. Bilaspur (NAAC accrediated) with an intake of 200 seats. In 2010, Shiva college of Education has also got permission to run IGNOU study center for B.Ed. course having 100 seats.

In 2009, the group has started an Engineering College named Shiva Institute of Engineering & Technology at Chandpur, Bilaspur (HP), offering under graduate program in five disciplines viz. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Electronics and Communication Engineering,Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering leading to B. Tech. degree.In 2013, Group has started a Polytechnic named Shiva Polytechnic offering Diploma courses viz. Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Presently the group is serving to fulfill the dreams of 1500+ students in different courses.

Er. Purushotam Sharma, Managing Director of the Group is being honored with “Entrepreneurs Award 2013” by Dr.  Shashi Throor, minister of state HRD for their excellence work in the field of technology and is also awarded with “e- governance Campus Award 2013”. Shiva group believes in creating a multicultural and varied environment for students to learn and develop in. Our students comprise of not just across India but also from neighboring countries. This ensures that students will  learn about unity in diversity.

Shiva group of institutions works towards mining the best that each student has within himself or herself.To encourage this,group offers merit scholarships to all students who excel in University examinations.The all round development of the students is also not ignored and various competitions both cultural and sports are organized.
