The grd institute was founded in the year 1989 dedicated in the memory of Shri Guru Ram Dass Ji, the fourth Guru of the Sikhs. The institute was founded with only one main motive to give proper and quality education to all the students and train them as such that they become the future leaders for the better tomorrow.

Sardar Raja Singh, the Chairman of the Texla Group of Industries, is a well-known philanthropist. He generously donated 14 acres of the estate in Rajpur, Dehradun to facilitate and encourage the opening of the trust activities. GRD Academy Dehradun, one of the top 10 colleges in Dehradun makes sure that all our teaching staff give out their best service and grooming all our students. Along with academics we focus on other aspects such as personality development, competitions, and encourage their art in order to boost their confidence.
