3-Admission Procedure

Admission

The institute has simplified and easily accessible procedure for admission to the following Graduate and Post Graduate level courses.

Course Eligibility Criterion

• M.Sc. IT : Graduation in Science(any stream) or BCA or BSc IT or BSc CS with minimum 45% marks

• BCA : 10+2 pass with "maths" as essential subject with minimum of 45% marks

• B.Sc. IT : 10+2 pass in any stream with minimum 45% marks

• BBA : 10+2 pass in any stream with minimum 45% marks

• B.Sc. Animation : 10+2 pass in any stream

• B.Lib : Graduation in any stream

• M.Lib. : B.Lib

• B.Com(Hons) : 10+2 pass in any stream with minimum 50% marks

• B.A(Hons) Journalism and Mass communication: 10+2 pass in any stream with minimum 50% marks

• B.H.M. :10+2 pass in any stream with minimum 45% marks

• BDHM : 10+2 pass in any stream with minimum 45% marks

Interested candidates are invited to submit detailed application form to the admission committee clearly spelling the stream for joining the programme.The student, on the basis of merit and first come first servered basis, will be allowed admission.

4-Principal's Message

ITM- A brainchild of the great visionary and Chairperson of the Institute, Sh Nishant Thapliyal, has successfully completed its nearly two decades of establishment since 2002. When the nascent Uttarakhand was just coming up and gearing for its various infrastructural and educational activities-the Institute, popularly acronymed as ITM, came up with a single degree department offering B.Sc.IT, as one of the first professional College of the State offering IT Course at graduation level.

After having ushered into the Technological arena, the Institute has traveled tremendously into imparting quality education through the courses like, M.Sc IT, Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor in Business Management (BBA) (from HNB Garhwal University) and Bachelors and Masters in Sciences (B.Lib. Sc and M.Lib. Sc) and B.Sc IT Animation (from Sri Dev Suman University), the latest addition being Bachelors in Commerce with Computerized accounting.

Lately, the institute has marched towards some more diverse disciplines like Hotel Management at Diploma & UG Levels, Mass Communication (H), B.Com (Honours) & M.Com from SDSUV. A step ahead the institute has been recognized as Uttarakhand Open University Study Center with additional courses like MCA, MBA, M.Sc (GIS), cyber security & allied courses.

It would be worthwhile to mention here that the ITM’s has been designated as the “Lead Institute of the Academic Excellence “by none other than the IT Wizard Microsoft Company itself.

The Institute has a well designed and a competent Placement Cell, proactively engaged in arranging placement opportunities for our students with various IT Industries.

The Co-Educational Institute has a team of qualified and experienced faculty, competent to impart and deliver the latest in education, technology with modern methods of teaching for shaping the future of the students. The College has fully equipped studios/laboratories with modern infrastructure; LCD equipped class rooms, a big digitized library holding over 12,000 books catering to all the courses; sprawling lush green lawns and pollution free environment around with Wi-Fi Campus for easy internet access by the students and faculty. The IT labs are fully equipped with all modern IT gadgets, and about 200 latest model computers with software’s. Besides me self as a Principal, the Institute’s activities are supervised and controlled by an eminent and highly qualified Academic Director, Admission Director , separate accounts and examination cell vis-à-vis stores and sports centre, all under the supervision and guidance of the Chairperson Mr. Nishant Thapliyal.

The Institute has, at present, strength of about 1200 plus students taking benefits of the guidance and supervision of the highly qualified faculty. The ITM is fully dedicated to impart quality education and mould the raw students of today into technologists and technocrats of tomorrow. The students, who graduated from this college, are very successfully placed in the Technological Industries like Techline India, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Venture Tele Solution, IBM, Indigo Airlines etc., to name a few , holding various important profiles like Programmers, IT Analysts, Product Mangers, Web Developers, Technical Supports, Service Managers and Management Executives.

Various cultural programs like fresher’s welcome and farewell, regular debates and contest, participations in the fests, industrial tours and educational tours cum picnics are the key features besides intensive sports activities, for overall personality development of the students.

The place is well connected by road and Rail and is located just in front of the back gate of the famous Doon School at Chakrata Road, Dehra Dun City. We have separate arrangements for the Boys and Girls Hostel, with a full time canteen and transport facility.
