About Babu Banarasi Das University - BBDU

Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow has been established by an Act (No. 25 of 2010) of State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh as self-financed and a State Private University. It has been provided letter no 8-30/2010 (CPP-I/PU) dated 17 February, 2011by UGC, which empowers it to award degrees under section 22 of the UGC act 1956. Babu Banarasi Das Educational Society is an administering body for it. The university has been founded after the name of Babu Banarasi Das Ji, a nationalist.

Babu Banarasi Das University Facilities

Hostel Facilities - The University provides hostel facility for Boys (more than 2000) and Girls (more than 1000) respectively. Accommodation is offered on twin / triple sharing basis.

Library Facilities - The students are provided by the University a rich and well-stocked Central & School Libraries. It has more than 2,00,000 books, periodicals and journals in print as well as in electronic form with online subscription of IEEE, INDEST, Science Direct, Bentham etc.

Computer Center Facilities - The University offers well build computing facilities with PCs and well-equipped modern departmental laboratories.

Sports’ Facilities - There is Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Sports Stadium in the campus. It has a capacity to accommodate more than 20,000 spectators. It is approved by BCCI to hold ‘A’ class National Cricket Tournaments and is regularly used for Ranji Trophy matches every year.

Health Faculties - The University also provides in campus medical and emergency services along with provision of regular medical check-ups and immunization/vaccination facilities.
