About St Aloysius College, Jabalpur

St. Aloysius College Jabalpur is a Christian college, established in 1951. It was established by the minority Catholic community.  St. Aloysius College is located in Jabalpur Cantonment Area. The college is considered as one of  the pioneer educational institutions in the state of Madhya Pradesh. SAC is affiliated to Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur and has been granted the status of an autonomous institution. The college has been accredited by NAAC ( National Assessment and Accreditation Council) with CGPA of 3.68 on seven point scale with  A+ grade. The college is approved by UGC. SAC strives to impart qualitative education in the fields of  Science, Arts, Commerce and Research. The mission of SAC Jabalpur is to create intellectually competent youth for a better society. The aim of the institute is to develop skills for global competency and encourage the learners to enhance their potential. The college believes in strength through striving. 

The institute provides undergraduate courses in BA, BSc, BCom (H), BCom, BBA and BCA, postgraduate courses in BEd, MSc, MA and  MCom and PhD. In SAC Jabalpur, there are different admission criteria for different courses. The basic step of  admission in SAC is to meet the eligibility criteria. After meeting the eligibility criteria, students have to go through the St. Aloysius College Jabalpur admission process, which includes written examination (BCom (H)) and interview (BSc/BA). For rest of the courses, admission is done on the basis of merit. All the written examinations and interviews are conducted by the college. SAC Jabalpur also provides scholarships to deserving candidates. It provides scholarships to meritorious and financially backward students. 

So far, St. Aloysius College has received two national awards, Dr. P.S. Job Memorial Award and Sr. Hedwige Annual Award. The college has received the status of ‘College With Potential for Excellence’ from UGC. The college provides ample facilities for its students. The college has digital library, computer labs, Wifi, conference room, library, hostels and many more. The college building has a large auditorium, called Prerna Hall, 3 laboratories and an audio-visual room. St. Aloysius College Jabalpur also organises national workshops, conferences and training programmes for all round development of its students. The college also conducts extra curricular activities like NCC and NSS.
