Abouyt Seth Jai Parkash Polytechnic

Seth Jai Parkash Polytechnic, Damia, Yamuna Nagar was established in the sacred memory of Seth Jai Parkash Ji, an eminent industrialist and philanthropist of Northern India. The polytechnic was established in 1980 with a certificate course in Library Science and Radio & TV Technology. The first diploma course in Chemicol Engg. (Pulp & Paper Technology) was started in the year 1983. The stotus of the polytechnic became grant-in-aid w.e.f. 1 April, 1990. At present, the polytechnic is organized into 6 engineering departments. All the courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Haryana State Board of Technical Education, Panchkula. The institute is committed to creating an ambience for nurturing innovation, creativity and excellence in students. Apart from the academic activities, the co-curricular activities, sports, cultural and social-service activities, form important parts of the life of the students. The institute has excellent infrastructure, state-of-the-art hostels both for boys and girls. The campus also provides sports and other recreational facilities. The alumni have distinguished themselves through their achievements and contributions to industry, academics, business, government and social domains and supporting the institute in different ways. The institute has strong linkage with industry. The polytechnic has been awarded three times as an "Outstanding Polytechnic of Northern India" by NITTTR, Chandigarh (under MHRD, New Delhi) in the year 2002, 2008, 2014 and Sardar Ajmer Singh Sarao Memorial Running Trophy for the Yast Polytechnic of Haryana in the year 2010-11 by TE, Haryana.
