Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bangalore was established in the year 1986. It was founded by Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust (Sri KET). The institution is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. The campus is spread over 133 acres of land. Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology offers nine B.E. degree programmes in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science & Engg., Industrial Engineering & Management, Telecommunication, Information Science and Bio Technology and four Masters Programmes in Business Administration, Computer Applications, Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Electronics.
