About School of Planning and Architecture University of Mysore

The School Planning and Architecture, Mysore was established in the year 2016 under the Statues of the University of Mysore (establishing the School of Planning and Architecture -Amendment) Statutes 2015 with the accent of the Chancellor and Governor of Karnataka, Government of Karnataka.The Urban and Regional Planning and Architecture should co-exists to carry out the Planning and Architecture to meet the needs of the citizen of the Country. In almost all foreign Universities and also Indian Universities, the Planning and Architecture are treated as co-existing for the purpose of academic and research activities. It was felt necessary to attach the Urban and Regional Planning section existing in the Institute of Development Studies, which was established under the Ford Foundation Assistance in 1971 with. The University School of Design (USD) which was established in 2002 (USD) was established in the year 2002.
