About Uttaranchal College of Education

The destiny of nation is shaped in the class rooms. Hence, an institution of teacher education can do enormous job of nation building by imparting necessary training to the pupil teachers. The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Education (M.A. in Education) programme aims at developing the understanding & competencies required by teachers for effective teaching learning process at the secondary stage. The programme also provides opportunities of sharing knowledge gained by teachers. In addition, it provides knowledge & develops an understanding of areas such as educational evaluation, school management, etc. in them.

Keeping this view in mind, the Uttaranchal College of Education has been established in the year 2006. Presently running by Dr. Jagat Narain Subharti Charitable Trust and it is affiliated to Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand and approved by N.C.T.E., Jaipur, Rajasthan. It has been started with an annual intake of 100 students. The institution strictly follows rules and regulations laid down by the University, N.C.T.E. and the Governing Body.
