About Swami Vivekanand Government PG College

Swami Vivekanand P.G. College, Lohaghat was established in the year 1979 by the then Uttar Pradesh government. Thus, the foundation stone of a strong academic desire was laid. Starting under harsh circumstances and within limited resources, the college is now one of the premier institutions of higher education in the region. Since then it is engaged in rendering its services to provide higher education and making an endeavor for human resource development in an otherwise economically and educationally exterior region of Uttarakhand. Here, thinking minds build on their basics and blossom into dynamic professionals. The faculty members here are highly educated, experienced and competitive in their approach. The academic calendar has ample space for theoretical grounding and practical training of the students alongside co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
