Shri Balwant Institute of Technology or SBIT is one of Haryana’s and Delhi NCR’s top private engineering and management institutions. Shri Balwant Institute of Technology was founded in the year 2006 with a belief that good quality is a by-product of focused efforts and high aims. Situated in Sonepat Haryana, SBIT is affiliated with the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) New Delhi. The institute is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi. SBIT Sonepat is also a NAAC “A” grade institute. 

Shri Balwant Institute of Technology Sonepat offers various undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes like B.Tech, BBA, BCA, MCA and MBA in the field of engineering, management and computer applications. Under the degree programmes mentioned above, the institute offers various specializations. The duration of the courses offered here varies between 2 years and 4 years. SBIT Sonepat also offers admission into the MCA (Lateral Entry) programme. 

For admission purposes, the institute accepts the scores of various reputed entrance exams like JEE Main, CAT etc. The institute, being a part of GGSIPU New Delhi, also accepts the IPU CET scores for admission into the BBA, BCA, MCA and MBA degree programmes. 

The deserving and meritorious students of SBIT Sonepat can apply for the SBIT scholarship scheme in which a certain portion of their tuition fee is waivered off. Candidates who have been awarded a scholarship already can apply for the same in the subsequent year/s provided they have 80% attendance and 75% aggregate marks in the preceding academic year. 

The institute organizes the campus recruitment drive every year in the middle of the final semester and candidates who are in their final semester can participate in the process. Reputed companies like Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, TCS, Qualcomm, ICICI Bank etc come to the campus during the placement process to hire suitable candidates for various positions. 

The huge 20-acre lush green campus of Shri Balwant Institute of Technology Sonepat is situated near the Rajiv Gandhi Educational Centre on NH-1. Modern infrastructure is one of the major attractions of the SBIT Sonepat campus. The institute has 3 computer labs, a gymnasium, a huge library and an auditorium. Hostel facilities are also offered to the outstation students with quality infrastructure and nutritious food. Transportation facility is provided to the students commuting from Sonepat and Delhi.
