About IIS University 

IIS University is a Deemed University and a Pioneer Institute for Women’s Education. The IISU is a part of IIS Institutional Group which is run by the Indian Council for International Amity and which is a registered non-governmental organization. It was established as International College for Girls (ICG) on 16th July, 1995 as an affiliated college to the University of Rajasthan. In 1999 it became a Postgraduate College. In 2005, ICG was been given the CPE status i.e. a ‘College with Potential for Excellence’, status by UGC. The college is one among the 50 colleges in India identified by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under the CPE scheme during phase-II. A major milestone in the history of ICG was the conferment of the Autonomous Status on the college by the UGC for a period of six years with effect from 2007-08. ICG was also the only college in Rajasthan which had been accredited A+ by NAAC. In 2009, the college was given the status of ‘Institution Deemed-to-be-University’ by the Central Government on the advice of the University grants Commission and its name was conferred - IIS University.  The college has also been identified as a Model College by the Government of Rajasthan.
