The University Campus is spread over an area of 250 acres of Land. There are six academic Blocks namely A, B, C, D, E, F, H and a recently constructed TAN Block. It has well equipped Administrative Blocks, Auditorium, Workshops, Hostels, Mess and Cafeteria, Transport facility, Medical Ais, Well equipped laboratories, well-stocked library with National and International journals including newspaper and weekly magazines, Gym, Seminar and Lecture Hall etc.

There are several Playgrounds and well maintained athletic track to encourage the students to play in different games such as Cricket, Hockey, Table Tennis, Football, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Chess, and athletics.

The faculties are well qualified and experienced in their respective discipline. Most of the faculty members are M.Tech and Ph.D. holders from the renowned Institutions of Country.

The Training and Placement department of Thapar University helps the students in their training and placement activities. It conducts various programs like Personality Development program, Guest Lectures, Seminars, Workshops, GD Session, Mock Interviews etc.

Thapar University Admission 2021

• Admission to B.Tech/ BE/ Lateral Entry, BE+MBA, and TCD almost in all major professional specialization. Students must have completed 10+2 with PCM subjects and secured minimum 60% marks from recognized Board. Admission to B.Tech, BE, B.E+MBA will be done on the basis of score obtained in JEE Mains followed by Counseling. 
• For Lateral Entry, Students must have completed Diploma in Engineering and qualified in LEET Exam.
• TCD Programs is a credit transfer International Engineering Program which focuses on delivering a research-inspired based educational Experience. In this course, students study 2 years at the college campus and rest of the 2 years at the Trinity College Dublin.
• To take admission in M.Tech/ ME course students must have completed Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks (55% marks in case of SC/ST category students). Students will be required to appear in Entrance test followed by Counseling. Students who have valid GATE score will be given first preference.
• MA Psychology, Students must have completed Bachelor’s degree with Psychology as one of the main subjects with minimum 50% marks from recognized University. 5% additional marks will be added to those students who have done BA Hons. in Psychology.
• For MBA admission, students will be shortlisted on the basis of score obtained in CAR/ CMAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ MAT/ NMAT or any other Management Aptitude Test. Final selection of students will be done on the basis of score obtained in Entrance Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.
• Admission to M.Sc and MCA will be done on the basis of marks obtained in last qualifying examination. Students must have secured minimum 60% marks in last qualifying examination.
• To get admission to Ph.D. course, students must have completed Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks or cgpa of 6.00 from recognized University. Students with GATE/ NET (UGC/ CSIR) are also eligible. Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in Entrance Test and Interview conducted by Thapar University. Students who will secure 20% marks in the written exam will be called for Interview.
