Jaipuria Institute of Management - Lucknow was established in September, 1995 - from rented premises, small classrooms to a sprawling campus.Today, set in over 10 acres of land, the Institute is located at a prime location in the heritage city of Lucknow. The building is spacious, well planned and equipped with all modern amenities. The Institute conducts two year full-time PGDM, PGDM (Retail Management), PGDM (Financial Services) course and three year part time PGDM course (for working executives), equivalent to MBA and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of HRD (Govt. of India). Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow has also started a 2 year full-time MBA equivalent and AICTE approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Retail Management) Programme in association with Pantaloon Retail (India) Limited, India’s leading retailer that operates multiple retail formats in both the value and lifestyle segment.The Faculty at JIML is involved in Academic Collaboration and Professional Exchange with other Universities. The curriculum is so designed that in the first year, it enables the students to strengthen the fundamentals in all areas of functional management and provides a holistic perspective of general management as well as lays emphasis on building communication, computer and quantitative skills. The second year provides inputs in the chosen area of specialization and is customized to the student's career focus and industry requirements. The three trimesters in the second year are geared towards an in-depth understanding of the respective fields of specialization. Thus, making the student ready to lead real life challenges.
Facilities
Teaching Pedagogy - At JIM, in order to impart best knowledge, classroom sessions, exercises, project studies, role plays, case studies, simulation games, brainstorming sessions, software applications, presentations and other innovations in pedagogy are used as methods of teaching. In order to supplement the theoretical knowledge with practical inputs, regular industry exposure is made available through industrial visits and sharing of practical experiences with professionals from the industry/corporate world.
Live Projects - Live projects provide a very close view of the market dynamics and chance to learn complex realities of business organizations. Live Projects offer students the platform for involvement with organizations as an integral and experiential part of their management education. Research is an essential ingredient of any academic system. Jaipuria takes up research (both fundamental and applied) and case studies in business corporations, both individually and in association with national and international organizations.
Internship Summer Training - The Summer Training or Internship is an integral part of the PGDM programme. It plays an important and integral part of the Post-Graduate Program and the Corporate Resource Centre of the Institute, consisting of faculty members who assist the students in finding appropriate summer assignments. The summer internship provides an opportunity to students of exposure themselves to actual managerial environment and apply their acquired theoretical knowledge to operational issues working alongside experts and professionals. Each student is required to undergo eight-week summer training at leading organizations by undertaking a project of direct relevance to the concerned organization. Subsequently, a presentation on the project and a viva-voce before a panel of experts is held. The concerned company executive normally provides feedback to the Programme Director on the student performance. It should be noted that summer internship is an essential requirement for award of the Diploma.

Lecture Theatre - The lecture halls are air-conditioned and equipped with overhead LCD projectors & OHPs. They are designed to provide you with complete comfort for the intense hours of classroom teaching and interaction.
Computer Labs - State-of-the-art IBM computer labs having 300 nodes and multiple high end Servers. 24 Hours High-speed Internet facility is available through dedicated RF Link from Software Technology Park of India, Lucknow. Latest Operating Systems, Front End Tools, Multimedia Software, Statistical Packages like SPSS and Databases like Prowess, Business Beacon & International Economic Statistics are available.
Library - The Library is fully automated and air-conditioned. Over a period of fourteen years, the library has grown quite impressively, now it stocks a core collection of over 16000 volumes on management and related areas, which includes collection of CD-ROMs, Audio-Video, Peer Reviewed Journals/Magazines, Project Reports and Annual Reports of Companies. In addition to these on -line databases such as EBSCO, EBRARY and DELNET databases are subscribed by the library.
E- Journals - EBSCO Business Source Complete providing 24 hours round the year access to 7594 periodicals, 1131 peer reviewed journals, 1214 trade journals and several business magazines, 144 monographs, 1491 country economic reports, 3158 industry reports and year books, 528 market research reports.
E- Books - EBRARY contains more than 40000 of full text books. That can be accessed from the institute's campus. E Databases:- prowess and Business Beccon, a collection of Centre for monitoring of Indian Economy Provide statistical information on industries as well as various sectors of Indian Economy.
DELNET - It has more than databases of 300 libraries in India. The bibliographical information may be accessed from any place. Required article or book may be borrowed from the DELNET.

Auditorium - A fully air-conditioned auditorium with all modern facilities provides an ideal and comfortable facility to hold academic/cultural events which can engage a large audience.
Hostel - Hostel Separate hostels for boys and girls with excellent amenities, mess and recreation facilities. Hostels are provided with round the clock security.
Scholarship - To encourage the students, a number of scholarships are awarded to meritorious students. In the first year the scholarships are based on the performance of the students in CAT and in the selection process of the institute comprising group discussions and personal interview. In the second year scholarships would be available to the first three rank holders on the basis of their performance in the first year of the programme.
Institute Medals - These medals are awarded for scholastic achievements to the three top ranking students of each PGDM programme during the annual convocation of the Institute.
Merit Certificate and Prizes - Merit certificates and prizes are given to those who rank first in each area of specialization of the PGDM programmes like Marketing, Finance, HR and IT.
Industrial Visits - Industry visits supplement the theoretical knowledge with practical inputs through direct interaction with corporate heads in a live setting. This helps the students to gain in-depth understanding of the specific challenges faced by an organization and also in development of case studies and projects. Jaipuria has strong relationship with various corporate entities and their associations. The regular industrial visits and other similar activities foster academia-industry relationship.
Research - It includes Sponsored Research Projects, Collaborative Research, Academic Research, Case and Study Material Development and Industry Studies. It has remained contemporary through continuous research, adapting to change and developing innovative strategies to facilitate the process of managing the dynamic business environment. Management Development Programmes and Research Projects - Jaipuria takes up consulting assignments for corporate bodies with the objective of improving contemporary management practices. Consultancy work also involves preparation of project proposals, monitoring mechanisms, baseline and end line surveys, project evaluations, impact assignment documentation for project formulation and policy issues. The serving areas are : Consultancy Projects, Individual Consultancy Work of Faculty and In-house Consultancy Skills Development in the Public Utilities.
Students Council - These were formed to safeguard the interest of the students and to ensure that the students' views are well represented in the JIM community of course, without compromising the reputation, high standards and long term interests of the Institute. The council works on the set of guidelines that govern the conduct of the student body as a whole. Various Councils include - Academic Council, Cultural Council, Sports Council, Placement Council, JIM FEST Committee.
OJAS - This is the most awaited annual event of the Institute, organized by students, attracts a large number of participants from other leading B- schools of the country. This event gives an opportunity to the students to showcase their talent not only through participation but also help them to emerge as better managers. Industry academic interface on a contemporary subject is an integral part of the festival.
JIMS Cells - Various Cells are as follows:
- Cultural Cell - This cell trains students to dissolve their different cultural and regional identities to give rise to the unique JIM culture where they learn the importance and harmony amidst diversity. The students are engaged in managing cultural as well as corporate events.
- Infrastructure Cell - Here, the students get an opportunity to learn the importance of TQM (Total Quality Management). They also learn about the management of workplace environment and its effect of efficacy on human mind. The students in this Cell maintain and manage the basic infrastructure facilities as well as the décor of the Institute and constantly strive to improve upon them.
- Sports Cell - To promote student interests in game and sports, the Sports Cell organizes sports meet once a year and different matches and tournaments are held throughout the year. The Campus has facilities for indoor and outdoor sports-TT, carom, volleyball, cricket, football and swimming.
- Corporate Resource Cell - The Institute organizes a lecture series wherein eminent persons are invited to speak on topics of current public interest. Various seminars and conferences are organized to further facilitate accomplishment of the purpose. Besides, students are encouraged to take up live research projects and to participate in various national/international seminars and conferences besides being nominated to various events organized by other top B-schools of the country.
- Entrepreneurship Cell - The Entrepreneurship Cell at JIM firmly believes that emerging economies like India need the drive and innovation of young entrepreneurs. The Cell therefore aims at manifesting the latent entrepreneurial spirit of the youth. The Cell motivates the youth to start-up their own enterprise. The E-cell at JIM organizes various kinds of activities all round the year to promote entrepreneurship among budding entrepreneurs.
- Corporate Affairs Cell - It exists for the express purpose of building and keeping effective contacts with firms all over India. The cell performs liaison work between possible employers and the students. Prior to the final placement season the Institute regularly organizes interactive workshops with industry at the campus. The objective of this is to create an opportunity for - a) the industry professionals to interact with the students and assess their calibre, b) students to learn about specific companies and identify which lines of business they would like to work in, as per their aptitude & inclination. It is important to not take up any placement except that which you prefer. Only then, the work is done not out of duty alone but out of a desire to continuously add value. Add value to yourself and your organisation. This is a hallmark of responsible business leaders and students need to be.
Conference/Seminars - The Institute organizes National level conferences/seminars wherein eminent speakers and delegates from across the country make presentations and carry out intensive discussions on current business issues. This provides the students and the academic fraternity with a platform for exchange of ideas and acts as a stimulant for academic growth. It gives the students an excellent opportunity to interact with the industry practitioners and learn from the ensuing discussions.
Placement - After completing the first year of study, students are sent for a short training of 6-8 weeks in different reputed organisations for a period of nearly two months on specific assignments. The Institute’s Corporate Affairs & Placement Cell locates suitable summer placements in different organisations and assigns students to them. As part of training, the students are required to submit a Project Report and make a presentation to the organisation, if necessary. The Report and the performance feedback from the organisation are the basis for evaluation of the Project Work at the Institute level. The project report should show that the student is capable of scientific analysis of a problem and can approach the solution for the same in a systematic manner. The project must provide sufficient indication that the student is competent in successful application of acquired management tools and skills to practical problems of industry. Each student gets many offers for Summer Placements, which have been in reputed organisations like Hindustan Lever, ITC, Reliance, Voltas, Indian Oil, TELCO etc.
Clubs - The students of the Institute have set up four clubs to encourage debates as well as dissemination of new knowledge in the specialized areas of their interest. These clubs known as the "Finance Club", "Marketing Club", "IT Club", and "HR Club" encourage students to have a hands-on experience on how events are organized besides furthering their knowledge base.
Sports - The institute has large sports fields for cricket, hockey, football, etc., lawn tennis and badminton courts and a world-class swimming pool. The recreation centre for students provides the right place to relax and unwind. Facilities to play various indoor games like table tennis, chess, etc. are also available here.
Swimming Pool - The institute maintains a magnificent swimming pool (half Olympic size) at our Campus. The swimming pool is well-equipped with showers and spacious changing rooms. Cleanliness and hygiene of the pool has been given utmost importance. Swimming classes are held every day under the guidance and watchful eyes of professional trainers.
Recreation Centre - The right place to relax and unwind. Spacious and airy halls provide students with a comfortable environment to relax interact or play.
Cafeteria - Canteen facilities are provided within the campus. Great décor and mouth watering delicacies make this a popular hangout for students. The cuisine comprises Continental, Chinese, North and South Indian dishes.
SBI Counter - At the Institute premises there is an Extension Counter of State Bank of India, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.
Book Shop - The Institute maintains a well stocked Book-Shop to provide prescribed books for students. All stationery items required by students find a place in the book shop.
