About Food Craft Institute (FCI), Udaipur Food Craft Institute (FCI), Udaipur was established in 1989 in a rented building. The institute under takes various training programmes for hotels, restaurants, dhabas etc. apart from their regular courses. The Institute shifted to their own building at sector-14, Hiran Magri, Udaipur in year 2002. The Institute has four diploma courses run under The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Noida. The institute is affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology. The total number of seats for admission is 200. Food Craft Institute offers front office, housekeeping, food production and food & beverage courses. These four are diploma courses of duration one and half year. Front office course is to train the students in reception work calls for public relations and skill in dealing with people of different types. Housekeeping course is for hotel and institutional housekeeping which is too importance. Similarly food production ad food & beverage courses are for successful running of every Hotel & Catering Industry. Facilities :- The institute provides all basic facilities to their students. For the learners belonging to the different parts of the state, the institution has an excellent hostel facility. Other facilities are well furnished class rooms, conference hall, library and auditorium. The institute also hire well experienced faculty so that they can get excellent guidance. Placement Cell :- Food and Craft institute has an active training and placement cell which is working hard to train the students to be a professional in their work. The Cell provides the interview facility to the students and many students are placed in the well known hotels and establishments for training and job placement.
