From our glorious and soaring heights in sports one should not infer that there is dearth of brilliance and merit in academic arena. Glaring performance by commerce student is in no way less brilliant. Student like Preeti Pal Saraf and Ramita Dhingra have always been scoring top most positions in the university Examination throughout their stay of four years (Prep Commerce, B.Com Part-I,II and III) in the college during the seventies and eighties. Mr. Saraf had the distinction of securing top most position in the erst-while Punjab University (during all the four years) to which all the colleges of present Panjab, Haryana and Himachal Pardesh were affiliated. Many other students have also proved the supremacy of this faculty. By virtue of its prominence our commerce faculty has acquired the distinctive status of a synonym for commerce education Student Keenness to find a seat in the commerce faculty in this college itself speaks volumes about its wide popularity. A number of students of this college have become Chartered Accountants, Managing Directors of leading Industries like Jindal Steel Tubes, Rattan Jindal & Yog Raj Jindal are the Managing Director of Janak Steel Tubes and Jindal Strips respectively . Another Commerce graduate of our college Mr. Ved Parkash is successfully running Parkash Pipes (Surya Tubes) in Bahadurgarh. This characteristic has become the hallmark for our institution. The forgoing excellence in sports and academic explicitly upholds our motto “Valour through Wisdom”.

In a bid to attain its goal and objectives, the foundation management of the institution in the initial stage strictly adhered to the concept of having competent faculty. Extraneous influence and consideration did not have much impact on the selection of the faculty teachers. This constant insistence on merit in the selection of the faculty contributed to having excellent teachers in the institution. Later consequent upon an increase in grant-in-aid from the Govt. of Haryana, selection of the lecturers began to be made by duly constituted committees.

Apart from various high dignitaries of the state like Chief Ministers. Governers, Chief Justices and Vice Chancellor of various universities visiting this college and recording their impressions in visitor book, the esteem of the institution is further enhanced and glorified when we are reminded that great personalities of international repute like Sarvpally Dr. Radha Krishanan (President of india), Dr,Nagender Singh (President International Court of Justice), the Hague Hooland and Swam : Rangnathan Nanda of (Ramakarishan Math), Hyderabad have choosen to be our Chief Guests on various functions of the college.
