About Suryadatta College of Hospitality Management and Travel Tourism - SCHMTT

Established in 2004, Suryadatta College of Hospitality Management and Travel Tourism (also known as SCHMTT Pune) is one of the premier hotel management institutes and a constituent unit of Surya Group of Institutes. SCHMTT, along with 13 sister institutes, is run and managed by Surya Group in the field of Management, Travel and Tourism, Hotel Management, Media and Mass Communication, Interior Designing, Fashion and Jewellery Design, Event Management, Multimedia Graphics and Animation, Creative Arts, Aviation, Health and Fitness, Self-defense, Beauty and Wellness, Vocational and Advanced Studies. The institute is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly known as University of Pune or University of Poona). SCHMTT Pune is approved by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra (DTE) and recognised by Government of Maharashtra. The institute is also a study center for Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU). SCHMTT has been ranked 4 under 'Best Private Hotel Management Institute in Maharashtra' as per GHRDC Hotel Management Institute Survey 2019.

SCHMTT Pune offers Bachelor of Science (Hotel Management) in Hospitality Studies. In addition to the regular academics, SCHMTT also organises industry visits, seminars by hospitality professionals, theme lunches and food festivals for its students. This gives their students the latest knowledge of the industry and a hand-on experience in various spheres of hotel management. Campus facilities for students include well-equipped labs, a state-of-the-art campus, high-tech kitchen, a fine-dine restaurant, computer labs and a high-speed Wi-Fi facility for students so that the students and faculty remain connected all the time. The library offers access to a wide range of information sources that include 24,000+ regular text books reference books, 62 leading national and international journals, magazines, periodicals and subscription of six leading newspapers.
