About Institute of Hotel Management

Established in 1978 as a Food Craft Institute, IHM Bhopal was upgraded to ‘Institute of Hotel Management’ in 1986 by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

IHM Bhopal offers BSc degree programme and craftsmanship course in hospitality stream to students. Admission in BSc course is through NCHMCT JEE exam that is conducted by NTA. Apart from this, the BSc degree that is awarded on completion of this course is given by IGNOU.

Facilities on offer at IHM Bhopal include Basic Training Kitchen (BTK), Quantity Training Kitchen (QTK), Advance Training Kitchen (ATK), Vegetarian Kitchen, Bakery Lab, Training Restaurants, Accommodation Operation and Laundry Lab, Front Office Lab, Computer Lab, Audio-Visual Room, Board Room and Dining Halls.

IHM Bhopal has a well-stocked library with 7,000 books, journals, magazines, and newsletters. It also has an auditorium with seating capacity of 350 people. IHM Bhopal offers hostel facilities for both, male and female students. IHM Bhopal hostel intake for boys is 100 and for girls is 50.
