About Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition

Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Panipat is the first Catering College in Haryana, started in the year 1973 having Two year Diploma Course in Hotel Management and Three one year Diploma Courses in Food Production, F&B Service, Hotel Reception and Book-keeping under the Department of Tourism, Haryana.

In year 1988, the Two year Diploma Course was converted into Three year Diploma Course by the Department of Tourism, Haryana and in the year 1994, the Three year Diploma course got affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education, Panchkula, Haryana.

Since March, 2012 The Institute is running as an autonomous body Registered under The Haryana Registration and Regulations of Societies Act, where Additional Chief Secretary Tourism, Haryana is the Chairman of the Society.

Institute of Hotel Management Panipat is now affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India) a premier body in Hospitality and Catering Education in India. As a result Degree Programme with an intake of 60 students was started in the session 2013-14.
