About Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Kochi

Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is a constituent of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in Kochi, Kerala. Established in 1998, it is a super-specialty tertiary care health center with an attached medical college hospital with 1,100 beds. The institute offers various UG and PG courses, including BPharm, MPharm, PharmD, BSc, MSc, MD, MBBS, MS, BDS, and MDS amid others. The institute attends over 3,500 patients on a daily basis and over 10 lakh patients annually. Built across 125 acre of land, the hospital has ISO 9001-2008 accreditation.

The hospital has state-of-the-art infrastructure, including 28 modern operating theatres, 275 equipped intensive-care beds, computerized Hospital Information System (HIS), digital radiology department, 17 NABL accredited clinical laboratories, and 24/7 telemedicine service. It ranked 24th for Medical by India Today in 2018.
