About Assam Government Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Nagaon

The Assam homoeopathic Medical College, the instituiton, first of it's kind in the state of Assam, was established in the year 1968 by the untiring effort of a body of dedicated Homeopaths and lovers of Homoeopathy from different corners of Assam with a mission to promote homoeopathic education and teaching, to train groups of young energrtic deligent people in homoeopathic system of medicine as also to make blissful curative homoeopathic treatment available to the sick humanity. The dream of Homoeopaths of this North-Eastern part of India was first ever materialised and the institution began functioning on the 15th of August 1968 in the Haiborgaon Girl's High School, Haiborgaon, Nagaon (Assam) and later on was shifted to the present site (Laxminagar, Haiborgaon, Nagaon, Assam) after a piece of land had been donated by Sjt. Meghraj Agarwalla a renowned businessman of Haiborgaon, Nagaon(Assam) and foundation stone of the present building was laid on the 29th of Nov 1972 by Dr. Jogesh Mahanta the then Principal of Guwahati Medical College.
