About Himachal Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research

Himachal Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (HIPER), H.P. was established in the year 2008 by Smt. Kesari Devi Educational Trust, Nadaun. The trust was established by the trustees under the provisions of “Indian Trust act” in the year 2004 for establishing an educational Institute providing technical education at grass root level in the rural area of Himachal Pradesh.

This is a premier Institute of not only this region but also of the Himachal Pradesh state where Excellency is in teaching and learning process. Students overall development is the prime motto of our Institute.

Pharmaceutical sciences are an important part of our health care system and have gone through several paradigm shifts in the last century. Although India has earned its position in the pharmaceutical profession globally, it is yet to make an appreciable impact in pharmaceutical research. There is an acute need to develop several professionals with multiple skills encapsulating hardcore genomic sciences with medical technologies for the welfare of the people, eradicating diseases, and providing healthy living through innovative pharmaceutical products and devices. HIPER came into the existence under the guidance of a renown pharmaceutical scientist Prof. (Dr.) P.D. Sharma (Punjab University, Chandigarh). He motivated us to create this excellent institute for providing pharmaceutical education in this remote area of Himachal Pradesh. I am sure the college will provide skilled and specialized professionals who will contribute not only to the development of

the industry but also to the welfare of the community
