Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, formerly Indraprastha University, is a state university located in Delhi, India. It was established in 1998 as a teaching-cum-affiliating university.

The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University was the first university to be established by the government of Delhi in 1998. GGSIPU is recognised by UGC or University Grant Commission, India. Being a teaching-cum-affiliating university, IP University has nurtured thousands of students in the last 22 years. The massive university campus of more than 60 acres is located in the green landscape of Dwarka, Delhi. At present, there are 127 affiliated institutes that boost the reputation of the university while moulding young minds into future professionals of the country. 

GGSIPU, Delhi is presently providing 22 programmes in its affiliated institutions. These programmes include bachelor’s and master’s degrees in various fields. To promote research and innovation, the university is actively offering doctoral programmes as well. GGSIPU, Delhi is situated in the lush green landscape of Dwarka, New Delhi. Situated approximately 20km away from the Delhi airport, students can reach the airport in just about 20 minutes. Visitors can reach the campus via the Delhi Metro’s Dwarka Sector 14 station. The New Delhi Railway Station is 30kms from the university campus. The nearest bus stand is Suraj Vihar Bus Stand, which is 2.5Km from the campus. Besides this, the campus is strategically located and well-connected to the city through public transport facilities.

• Young Researchers’ Conference  - The Directorate, International Affairs, GGSIPU, has partnered with Jean Monet Module and Centre for European Studies, JNU, to organise the Young Researchers’ Conference.

• MBBS 2020-21 seat allotment by GGSIPU through Mop-Up round - GGSIPU released the date for the result of an online counselling Mop-Up round for admissions into the MBBS programme in the 2020-21 session at the university. 

• Date extension for the submission of part academic fee for various programmes  - GGSIPU has extended the date for submission of Rs. 40,000 (part academic fee) for various programmes for the students shortlisted in the Spot Round Counselling.

• Celebration of Prakash Parv - The GGSIP University celebrated the 354th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh by organising a blood donation camp in an event entitled the “Prakash Parv”. The Indian Red Cross Society collected around 100 units.

GGSIPU offers 22 courses at nearly every level of education, including undergraduate courses(, graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The process of admission into GGSIPU, Delhi includes several rounds. A qualifier or entrance exam is conducted for each programme. After a student qualifies the entrance exam by clearing the cutoff, counselling sessions are conducted. The rounds of the counselling session are highly important for the students as at this point as they are allotted seats into different colleges and institutions affiliated under GGSIPU.
