About Course
Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Maintenance Science Course Details
B.Sc. Aircraft Maintenance Science or Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Maintenance Science is an undergraduate Aeronautical Engineering course with four-year duration. Aircraft maintenance engineers are responsible for keeping the aircraft in perfect flying conditions. They are involved in the repair and maintenance of aircraft. The Course deals with the design and manufacture of aircraft while AME trains one for servicing the aircraft. This course teaches the fundamentals of propulsion, electronics, and automatic control guidance, theory of aerodynamics, structural analysis, material science, and fluid dynamics. Aircraft maintenance engineering is not a degree or a diploma course, but a training program. On completion of the training, a license is issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). This degree is a multidisciplinary program, built upon a strong foundation of the sciences, mathematics and ‘hands-on’ aircraft maintenance fundamentals, designed to meet the needs and interests of students who want to excel and develop a career as a knowledgeable and competent aircraft maintenance engineer.
