Master of Technology in Material Science and Engineering Course Details
M.Tech. Material Science & Engineering or Master of Technology in Material Science & Engineering is a postgraduate Material Science and Engineering course. Materials Science and Engineering is an interdisciplinary field, based on knowledge of physical, chemical and engineering sciences. This knowledge is used to design materials that suit applications, to meet specific functions and quality requirements. This demands insight into the physics that affect material properties. Students in materials science and engineering develop a fundamental understanding of materials at the nano, micro and macro scales, leading to specialization in such topics as biomaterials; chemical and electrochemical materials science and engineering; computational materials science and engineering; electronic, magnetic and optical materials; and structural materials.
Master of Technology in Material Science and Engineering Eligibility
- The candidates should have completed a B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
