Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering Course Details
M.Tech. Industrial Engineering or Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering is a postgraduate Industrial Engineering course. Industrial engineering is the branch of engineering dealing with the optimization of complex processes or systems. It is concerned with the development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, materials, analysis and synthesis. Generally, the duration of this course is two years but also it may fluctuate from place to place and may be provided by some institutes on a part-time basis. The syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters and four electives. It opens many career scopes for the candidates after its completion at various places.
Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering Eligibility
- B.Tech./M.Sc. or equivalent to CGPA 6.75 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks in aggregate for the general category with GATE: -
(a) 300 score for general category, or
(b) 200 score for SC/ST category and 250 scores for PH. - The candidates are chosen depending on the performance in the written test and the personal interview following it.
