Ph.D. Human Development or Doctor of Philosophy in Human Development is the Doctorate level Human Rights course. Human development is the process of growing to maturity. Biologically, it entails growth from a one-celled zygote to an adult human being. The course helps to educate students in the theories, methods, and research that provide the basis for expanding knowledge and understanding of human development from an interdisciplinary perspective. The program will focus on the formation, change, and development of the individual in his or her interaction with a culture-specific context. Students seek to understand how to optimize personal relationships, and empower others to invest and engage in their chosen cause. The duration of the program is a minimum of two years from the date of registration (3 years for external candidates) and a maximum of 5-6 years.
