Ph.D in Electronics and Communication Engineering
Ph.D. Electronics and Communication Engineering or Doctor of Philosophy in Electronics and Communication Engineering is Doctorate Electronics and Communication Engineering course. The duration of the program is a minimum of two years from the date of registration (3 years for external candidates) and maximum of 5-6 years. The Ph.D. programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is a research-based programme. The main emphasis of this program is on a thesis. Work towards the thesis requires a good understanding of the state of art in an area, problem formulation, original contributions based on analysis with sufficient mathematical rigour and validation. The course is career orienting in nature and opens a lot of job scopes for degree holders.

- The candidates should have passed a masters degree is required to gain admission to a doctoral program. In some subjects, doing a Masters in Philosophy (M.Phil.) is a prerequisite to start Ph.D.
