Education Ministry announces four-year integrated teacher education programme
In line with the teacher mandate of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced a dual-major holistic Bachelor's degree offering BA-BED, BSC-BEd and BCom-BEd. Initially, the programme will be offered in pilot mode in about 50 selected multidisciplinary institutions across the country. The integrated teacher education programme (ITEP) will be available for all students who choose teaching as a profession. The four-year ITEP is set to commence from the academic session 2022-23.
